Recently I was on the market and was going through some of Shape Keepers recently released games. Having seen they had launched one in the past two weeks, I thought I would make a Lucky Spade review.

The developers of this game are no strangers to me, as at this point, I have tried several there Plinko-themed games and other cash-earning games to come from them.

Now from all of them, and looking back at the reviews I made, they all had more cons than pros, and in the end, when it came down to paying, it wasn’t clear they did.

With every new game that is launched, you can have your suspicions on whether they payout, especially since many don’t, but to know for sure, I have gone ahead and tested the game to give you guys some answers.

What Is Lucky Spade?

After completing my last review of a shape keeper game, I was expecting something simple such as Plinko based game or even one of those coin dozer themed apps.

However, surprisingly they have opted for something different by creating a poker-themed game called Lucky Spade.

Unlike the poker you play at the casino, this version that has been adopted is very different from the actual game you would play with a few mates.

It doesn’t require you to gamble, which makes sense since its a making money game that is supposed to pay out users for playing the game for free.

The developers are called Shape Keeper, as I noted above, and to some of you, you may have an idea of how their games work.

As you can see, I have been busy covering a lot of there apps already. They’re all quite simple with the way they work, and all completely revolve around making money.

Because of the earning opportunities were removed from any of those games, there would no longer be a point to play them.

Its kind of a reason they all get so many installs, to begin with, but over time it plateaus out because the hype dies and not to spoil it, but people start to realize they are getting nowhere with them.

How Does Lucky Spade Work?

When I review some apps, I find it quite easy to explain as the way they work is just so simple.

However, this one is that with the ‘poker’ game thrown in there, it’s not one I have too much experience with.

I have tested it out, and I will talk you through what I got from playing.

To get going, you will need to press the red start button.

This will issue you with the first hand of 5 cards to you.

For each hand, you are aiming to find a hand combination that matches one on the paytable.

There are 12 combinations, each paying out different amounts, anywhere from $0.01 to $2.

If you match with one, that money will be added to your balance.

You can hold onto cards, or you can swap them over, simply clicking on cards you want to keep with tag them as ‘held.’

How To Make Money With Lucky Spade?

Playing through Lucky Spade, you will pick up money easily, even if it’s just a few cents every other round.

As I said, you will pick up dollars/cents for matching combinations.

This is also made easier with incentives that Lucky Spade offers to you.

As now and then, they will give you certain combinations on your hand for watching a video.

From below, it shows myself being offered 4 Of A Kind if I watch a 30-second video.

But what you should be wary of is just like the Plinko themed games they have created when you pick up dollars, they are straightaway changed for coins.

So while at the start you get $0.01 for getting a ’10 or Better’ once found, it is swapped for 50 coins. Coins can still redeem rewards, but they don’t carry the same value as dollars.

Striking Lucky From The Wheel Spin

I have always admired Shape Keepers apps, not for how good they are but more for how smart they are in retraining their users.

The fact they all get millions of installs, sometimes in the space of a few weeks, is no coincidence.

Now with Lucky Spade, they give you this instant feeling of winning big.

When you open the app for the first time, you are presented with a wheel spin that features some small cash amounts and one big amount of $90.

So when I went to spin this wheel, I Luckily landed on $90.

This is an amazing amount to get, and for a lot of users, I can imagine they got really excited about receiving this, as it does feel like it’s yours.

But here is the thing this isn’t really spin, as this is a welcome bonus given to every user.

They could give it to you off the bat, but there is something special about landing on it in a wheel.

Even though it has been designed so that everyone gets it.

It gives every new user that feeling of winning and makes them more likely to keep playing the game.

Striking Lucky From The Wheel Spin

If you have collected this $90, the first thing you will want to know is whether you can cash this out immediately.

Before I had even checked out the payout options, I knew I wouldn’t be able to withdraw. It wouldn’t make sense for the developers to pay out people significant money seconds after installing the game,

So instead, what you have is a $100 threshold, which, considering you are 9/10 of the way there, makes it seem like you will be able to get there no problem.

The payout offered is through PayPal, and it only seems that if you do reach it that you will be paid out.

However, there are two reasons why this won’t be so easy.

1. Spade Keeper won’t allow you to earn an extra $10
2. Written in the terms that in-game money cannot be converted for actual money

What You Need To Know About

1. Low Paying Hands

The threshold is $100. However, really its a $10 game.

So your goal is making this $10 matching combinations from hands dealt with you.

But if we look at the PayTable again, everything you see suggests that it won’t be easy to collect the remaining money.

The maximum you can get is a Royal Flush, which gives you $2, and chances are you can only get paid that once, just like the other combinations.

So what is going on here is that you will be able to pick up cents fairly easily.

But if you want to get rewarded, you might be playing for months.

Which is, of course, all part of there plan.

One thing I found in the Lucky Spade review section was some people saying how some combinations became hard to achieve.

So if you needed certain ones to get cash, no matter how many hands you went through, it was nearly near impossible to find them.

2. Cents Away…

I had gone through this once before with a game, where I was cents away from a payout. However, despite pushing on, I never got the few cents needed to cash out.

So because of that and I remember saying to myself at the time that I wouldn’t spend time on these games, the only exception being to review them for you.

What we have with Lucky Spade is one of those same case scenarios. You have people earning all the way to $99,99; however, even though they have picked up money easily before that, they no longer find it as easy.

It feels like you have been cut off, and in this case, Shape Keeper has pulled the plug.

I looked through as much of the user feedback as I had time to do, and I found the same things being said by so many users.

Conclusion

Despite coming into this Lucky Spade optimistic for a change and an app that, unlike others by Shape Keeper, would payout, it does look like this one is yet another that doesn’t.

There were some early signs for me, for instance, giving users $90 at the start without actually giving them the amount. Plus, you cannot actually get to $100, which is a massive red flag in itself.

Games like this one to me are just games. It’s as simple as that.

The so-called earning features are to drive interest. But like your typical game, its all around ad revenue, and that’s it.

The game isn’t exactly fun to play, and there isn’t a purpose to play it other than that to reach the threshold. Which, at this point, you now know, is not possible.

I put links above to all of Shape Keepers games above, and none of them showed any sign that they paid, and Lucky Spade follows suit.

So if, as I mentioned above, you are near that threshold or have downloaded them recently, I would strongly advise not to bother with it unless you like poker. It’s just not worth it.
